This family, in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, engaged our studio to design personalized, hand-tufted cut-pile rugs that blend with the serene, neutral palette of their living room and central area. Shimmering silk borders accent the durable NZ wool interiors in a complimentary balance of material.

Max Gimblett x Lucy Tupu
In 2018 we launched our first collaboration with the preeminent artist and national treasure of Aotearoa, New Zealand, Max Gimblett. We are excited to share news that two rugs from this collection, Silver Moons and Upright are in the windows of Te Papa and will be on display until June 20th. To compliment the rugs are several Flax cubes from our furniture line. And if you just want a smaller version of the Max Gimblett collection there are art cards and posters available in Te Papa Store!

David Trubridge and Lucy Tupu explore different aspects of design including the influence of New Zealand art, culture, history, indigenous people and the landscape.
Featured Collections:
Cey Adams draws inspiration from 60’s pop art, sign painting, comic books and pop culture. His work also includes themes of race and gender relations, as well as cultural and community issues.
The Thompson Collection is made up of three designs, each with an old-fashioned name to inspire a certain personality – Peggy, Agnes and Joyce.

We custom-designed these rugs to adorn amenity spaces within this massive block-sized building, situated in the heart of New York's Financial District. The geometric patterns overlay these specially-shaped carpets, all made of hand-tufted 100% New Zealand wool for durability.

When clients move apartments, sometimes their existing rugs don't quite fit. For our client who moved from a smaller to a larger apt their runner was not long enough. They loved their custom Oriental Bay design so the best solution was to extend their runner by producing another one exactly the same!
DUMBO
Staircases
Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood is home to the client who was looking to add a playful element to the stairwell of their beautiful, modern duplex. The family fell in love with our Tui Iti design, choosing vibrant, geometric tones floating above a deep purple backdrop. The final piece reads like a stream flowing into a cool puddle at the bottom of the stairs.
