We were invited to exhibit at the NZ Art Show, held every year in Wellington at the TSB Arena. It was an opportunity to introduce our design studio to the NZ art community as well as showcase our full Max Gimblett rug collection consisting of 14 rugs hanging from the ceiling across the back wall of the arena.

Cey Adams
Departure - 40 Years of Art & Design
In collaboration with Cey Adams we created seven designs, each one telling a story about his artistic journey and growing up in New York. ‘Harlem’ is the first design in this series where Cey plays homage to his family’s neighborhood and to his father who served in the military. ‘Cey Adams, Departure - 40 Years of Art & Design’ is a traveling exhibition and our “Harlem’ rug is included in Cey’s vast collection of work. The opening exhibition was held at Boston University, then went on to the University of Texas.
Cey Adams, Departure is now on view at the Pearlstein Gallery in Philadelphia on view through October 5.

Lucy Tupu Studio officially launched in Aotearoa, New Zealand, Nov 29th, 2023!
What better way to celebrate than by showcasing our stunning Max Gimblett Rug Collection. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening party!

Max Gimblett x Lucy Tupu
In 2018 we launched our first collaboration with the preeminent artist and national treasure of Aotearoa, New Zealand, Max Gimblett. We are excited to share news that two rugs from this collection, Silver Moons and Upright are in the windows of Te Papa and will be on display until June 20th. To compliment the rugs are several Flax cubes from our furniture line. And if you just want a smaller version of the Max Gimblett collection there are art cards and posters available in Te Papa Store!
