Our Bedford, NY client wanted to breathe more life into their residence by incorporating six new area rugs throughout the home. Alternating between custom and original designs, some were chosen for a subtle aesthetic, while others were intended to make a statement.  The hand-knotted and hand-tufted construction used variations of NZ wool, Tibetan wool and silk.

Chosen for the entryway of their Upper West Side apartment, our client selected the Moa design and customized the colors to better complement its surroundings. The curved graphic creates a subtle flow, pulling visitors into this beautiful Manhattan home. Anticipating high traffic, a hand-tufted, cut-pile rug in durable 100% NZ wool was specified.

Our client chose one of our classics for this beautiful mid-century modern home in San Francisco, CA – Tūī Iti orange from our South Pacific collection. Hand-tufted in NZ wool and silk, the rug incorporates an abstract feather motif which naturally compliments the elevated, design-forward living room.

To brighten up their West Village residence in downtown NYC, our client requested a custom area rug for their living room, designed in four vibrant colors made from vegetable dye. Working hand-in-hand with their vision, we chose a 100% Tibetan wool design constructed in a hand-knotted, low pile.

Our clients in Massachusetts chose one of our classic designs, Takahē, in teal from our South Pacific Collection for their sunlit entryway. Produced with 100% NZ wool in ten shades of teal, it is perfect for this medium-traffic area and offers a warmwelcome to their family home.

Located in Hampton Bays, NY beach community, our client chose a custom, flat-woven rug in the dining area of her home. Made with Tibetan wool, she selected a neutral palette, punctuated with abstract motifs inspired from her passion for surfing. Blending organic and geometric elements with hand-drawn lines atop of a gridlike pattern.

Our wonderful client in Murray Hill loves orange, so it was a natural choice to go with ‘Tūī Iti’ for her Bedroom. Hand-tufted with NZ wool and silk, Tūī Iti adds a lively and energetic touch to her space while creating a warm, inviting haven.

This professional couple lives just outside of Boston with Casco — their most cherished (and furriest) family member. Rounding out their cozy, elevated aesthetic, they chose our Fā design from the Falelima collection to anchor their living space and had us design a custom piece for their dining area.

This family, in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, engaged our studio to design personalized, hand-tufted cut-pile rugs that blend with the serene, neutral palette of their living room and central area. Shimmering silk borders accent the durable NZ wool interiors in a complimentary balance of material.

When clients move apartments, sometimes their existing rugs don't quite fit. For our client who moved from a smaller to a larger apt their runner was not long enough. They loved their custom Oriental Bay design so the best solution was to extend their runner by producing another one exactly the same!

This Upper Westside family loves a classic herringbone pattern and a pop of color for their living room. Custom designed and fabricated in NZ wool and Tencel for a durable, silky sheen. Kenzie, their Scottish Fold kitty, approves of the sophisticated look and equally loves the soft cut-pile on her paws.

One of our fav clients - Rigg Design was renovating her client's home in Sag Harbor and wanted to tone down the living space and explore a more neutral area rug.  Kio Bay in the flat-woven quality created a casual yet sophisticated vibe. The selection of blush pink and beige was their final choice of colors to match the decor throughout their sunny home.

A close Kiwi friend of ours was looking for something with a New Zealand/Polynesian influence. She landed on Oriental Bay, hand-tufted in custom tones. The piece was fabricated in NZ wool and Tencel for a durable, silk-like sheen. In the end, the rug really zhooshed up the living room… though most of that credit really goes to her stately puppy, ‘Puku’.

Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood is home to the client who was looking to add a playful element to the stairwell of their beautiful, modern duplex. The family fell in love with our Tui Iti design, choosing vibrant, geometric tones floating above a deep purple backdrop. The final piece reads like a stream flowing into a cool puddle at the bottom of the stairs.

This West Village townhouse was one of the most challenging projects we’ve taken on! Our clients tasked us with carpeting four staircases, each one different in size and shape. Each floor has its own theme of colorful jewel tones, all contrasting off the same neutral background. Hand-knotted Tibetan wool was used to ensure a clean, perfect fit.

Method + Moxie and their client decided on area rugs in warm, neutral hues for the entryway and a seating nook. Though the rugs are separated, they wanted them to be thematically connected, which we accomplished by using blue, silk lines – raised for a sense of movement on the nook piece. Each are hand-tufted in NZ wool, for refinement and durability.

Our clients in downtown Manhattan were seeking a soft, luxurious addition to their teenage daughters’ bedroom. They wanted a neutral design so settled on ‘Piha’ from our Coastal collection. For the lush quality, we selected 100% Tencel in tonal grays. The natural light reflecting off the abstract shapes creates a warm, shimmery glow in the space.

Bright, bold and colorful were the ingredients for this residence at the Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club, Surfside, Florida. Working with the talented duo, Sanchez+Coleman Studio we produced two area rugs. A handtufted neutral area rug for the bedroom and our version of 'Pinstripe' in a flatweave with a hint of citrus to POP for their Family room.

Situated in Manhattan’s Flatiron district, our client chose the Takahe area rug for their beautiful, light-filled living room. The combined effect of hand-tufted, 100% NZ wool in a cut pile, give this piece a refined look with a durability that can handle their playful children. …and keep the downstairs' neighbors happy.

The organic shape and web-like motif of this bespoke rug – made of New Zealand wool and silk in custom colors – is a truly authentic addition to this Manhattan home. The lines of silk emanating from the center are cut at a higher pile height to produce a sophisticated texture and sheen.

This client chose our retro Cuba St design for their Dallas home's living room. In an ombre-styled blend of custom gold and yellow tones, the area rug is a playful addition to its quirky, colorful surroundings.

Virtual homeschooling just got more fun in this TriBeCa children’s recreational room. Inspired by the iconic black and white marbled Composition Notebook, this rug has custom rounded corners resembling the classic notebook we all grew up to know and is hand-tufted with 100% NZ wool. 

Located in this harborside Manhattan neighborhood, our client chose the Aroha rug in New Zealand wool and nylon – with different pile heights to create more movement and highlights. To make the alcove extra cozy, we designed the rug in a custom shape and tone.

We customized this piece to reference a dozen or so vibrant colors found in the space’s surrounding artwork, then arranged them in gradient patterns. The paint-splatter design aligns with the modernity of this West Village, NY residence. Hand-tufted in NZ wool, we formed its irregular shape to accommodate the living room’s columns and planters.

The edgy vibe of this downtown NYC neighborhood is a great setting for our Rongotai and Oriental Bay designs. The pattern was not only used for the custom rugs, made from from 100% New Zealand wool, but also repeated in decorative elements throughout the newly-renovated home.

This stylish couple customized two of our rugs for their beautiful Boston residence. Hand-tufted in NZ wool, the Huia area rug was chosen in subtle hues for use in the dining room. They picked the Takahe design to adorn their living room. Fabricated in hand-tufted NZ wool and silk, this piece features carving to accent the geometric design.

This client was seeking a bold, custom solution to define their TriBeCa home office. We got to work designing a hand-tufted, 100% NZ wool rug featuring a contrasting two-tone border and irregular edging. Produced with the use of a template, the area rug was made to perfectly fit the room’s dimensions.

We produced three area rugs for multiple rooms of our client’s beautiful LA condo. Because the home is in a modern building with minimalist aesthetics, they wanted neutral, tonally-gray designs befitting of the architecture. New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) works globally to make New Zealanders safer and more prosperous. And we worked diligently to make the MFAT ambassador's newly-renovated residence in Stockholm, Sweden a more comfy home. The client chose the Torbay design in blue, from our Coastal collection.
