Our Bedford, NY client wanted to breathe more life into their residence by incorporating six new area rugs throughout the home. Alternating between custom and original designs, some were chosen for a subtle aesthetic, while others were intended to make a statement. The hand-knotted and hand-tufted construction used variations of NZ wool, Tibetan wool and silk.

Chosen for the entryway of their Upper West Side apartment, our client selected the Moa design and customized the colors to better complement its surroundings. The curved graphic creates a subtle flow, pulling visitors into this beautiful Manhattan home. Anticipating high traffic, a hand-tufted, cut-pile rug in durable 100% NZ wool was specified.

The family fell in love with our Tui Iti design, choosing vibrant, geometric tones floating above a deep purple backdrop. The final piece reads like a stream flowing into a cool puddle at the bottom of the stairs.

This West Village townhouse was one of the most challenging projects we’ve taken on! Our clients tasked us with carpeting four staircases, each one different in size and shape. Each floor has its own theme of colorful jewel tones, all contrasting off the same neutral background. Hand-knotted Tibetan wool was used to ensure a clean, perfect fit.

Method + Moxie and their client decided on area rugs in warm, neutral hues for the entryway and a seating nook. Though the rugs are separated, they wanted them to be thematically connected, which we accomplished by using blue, silk lines – raised for a sense of movement on the nook piece. Each are hand-tufted in NZ wool, for refinement and durability.
